This free standing mountain home is located 1 mile from downtown Gatlinburg. It has a excellent view of Great Smokey Mountain National Park and Gatlinburg including Mount LeConte and Clingmans Dome. It is close to Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies and Ober Gatlinburg ski resort. It is so close to Gatlinburg that you can see if there is a line at The Pancake Pantry or not. All three bedrooms have their own full bath with floor to ceiling tile showers. Each bedroom has a mountain view and there is plenty of parking available. You enter this house to a welcoming mountain feel and walk out to a fabulous deck equipped with your own gas grill. No discount specials apply to this house. There is a 3 night minimum. “Owner was easy to work with. The view was as promised. So many times it is grown over with trees. The view was excellent. Kitchen was very well stocked. We did have bears that tried to get in our vehicles. We found dirty paw prints – the owner warned us of this. I also loved that cardinals visited us several times a day. All of the furniture was nice and comfortable and the kitchen is better equipped than my own at home! “The home is beautiful! Very nice location. It is easier to get to from Pigeon Forge and then descend into Gatlinburg. The only negative is that it isn’t really walkable but still close to drive. “Our stay was great. More clarification of the location, access to the property being on the mountain would have been good. Pulling two trailers to this property is not ideal. We hauled motorcycles to ride the area and did ok getting in and out with the trailer but would have preferred not to tackle the steep drive or side of the mountain.” ~ Lacey

“Mid-century modern style house up on a mountain with a beautiful view of the smokies! Short drive down the mountain to downtown Gatlinburg. This house was stocked with everything you need to spend a week away with family or friends. The mattresses were comfortable too! The owners respond right away with any questions you have and are really kind people too :-)My husband and I went with our three kids in their 20s and a couple of their friends. There was plenty to do in the area (alpine sled, go-carts, hiking, white water rafting, hillbilly golf) and we did our fair share of stuff, but we spent a lot of time in the cabin hanging out playing games, watching movies etc. Great family time.” ~ Abby
